Find the Benefits and Safety Issues by Paraben Free Products

Ever wondered how paraben free products came to dominate today's market? Paraben is actually the most popular preservative in the world of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products because it extends the shelf-life of these formulations.

For years on end, paraben has been used because it is cheap and it has been found to be an effective bactericidal, fungicidal as well as a preservative. Common commercial products that contain parabens include shampoos, skin care creams, toothpastes, lubricants and other cosmetic and pharmaceutical formulations.

Commonly used formulas of parabens include methyl paraben, butyl paraben, ethyl paraben, and propyl paraben. Parabens are used in different forms in order to react most appropriately with the products where it is used.

So what is paraben used for, is basically as a commercial product preservative and not as an active ingredient. Parabens are generally cheap and combined with its effectiveness in preserving formulatons, many companies have opted to use it for their products.

Parabens are basically safe for human beings if taken in orally, especially with methyl parabens, because the body is able to break it down into simpler forms that cannot harm humans in any way. This component has also been known to be one of the most common causes of allergic reactions on the skin.

Parabens usually result in contracting dermatitis and Rosaceae infections on the skin of allergic individuals. So what is paraben being labeled for concerning serious conditions with humans?

Parabens are known to interfere with the endocrine processes of the body which ultimately leads to breast cancer for women later in life. The endocrine system of the body is the one responsible for the release and regulation of hormones inside the body.

Breast cancers are thought to come about because of hormonal disruptions that the body undergoes. Parabens have been studied just recently to act similarly with the estrogen hormones in females.

Breast cancer patients have been tested to be positive of the chemical paraben, so people all over the world have rallied against the use of this harmful ingredient. Products in the US are now banned to contain any parabens and consumers are advised to buy only those formulations that contain no paraben or any of its salt forms.

Now that you are armed with this information, it would be best to have your products at home checked in order to avoid future dilemmas. Paraben free products can save you from being caught in the middle of this controversy and possibly save your skin and uphold general health..
